# Sarbacane Studio: share and transfer templates

A distinction is important here: sharing and transferring templates do not have the same purpose:

A distinction is important here, sharing and transferring templates do not have the same purpose: 

**Template sharing**

We refer to **sharing** a template when the template is made available to a group of users within the same Sarbacane account.

_Example: I am part of the “Marketing” group within my account, I wish to share my template with the “Human Resources” group of this same account for validation of the template._

**Template transfer**

We refer to **transferring** a template when the template is made available outside of its Sarbacane account, whether or not one has direct access to this account.

_Example: I am part of company A, and I want my partner “company B” to be able to use the template for its activities._
