# What is campaign moderation at Sarbacane?

How Sarbacane checks your campaigns before sending, using automated checks supplemented by occasional manual reviews

Campaign moderation is the review Sarbacane applies to the content of your campaigns before they are sent, to ensure that it complies with our terms of use. This review is largely based on an algorithm, supplemented by a manual check when necessary. It is not a legal requirement, but a security measure for the platform and its user community.

## How does moderation work?

When you send a campaign through Sarbacane applications, its content is checked against our usage policies. Most checks are performed automatically by an algorithm. In some cases, this automated review is supplemented by a manual check, for example when the algorithm detects uncertainty that requires human review.

If the content does not comply, whether the rejection comes from the automated review or the manual check, Sarbacane may refuse to send the campaign. You are then notified of the refusal and its reason so that you can adjust your content and resend your campaign in accordance with our guidelines.

> **Note**: the automated review processes most campaigns almost instantly. The less frequent manual check may take a little longer before sending.

## What happens to the credits for a rejected send?

A rejection may require you to resend your campaign. Depending on the situation, Sarbacane may, at its discretion, reallocate credits or consumables already used for the rejected send.

> **Note**: this reallocation is neither automatic nor guaranteed: it depends on the circumstances of each rejection.

## Who remains responsible for the content sent?

> Moderation, whether automated or manual, does not absolve you of any responsibility. You remain solely responsible for ensuring your content complies with Sarbacane's terms of use and the laws applicable to your sends.
