# How do I assign a license?

Give a member of your account access to a Sarbacane application from the Licenses page or their profile.

To give a user on your account access to an application (Sarbacane Campaigns, Sarbacane Forms, Sarbacane Pages, etc.), the Owner or an Administrator assigns them a free license. They can do this from the **Licences** page or from the user's profile.

## Prerequisites

-   Be the account owner or an administrator.
    
-   Have invited the user to the account: see [How to add a user to your Sarbacane account?](https://help.sarbacane.com/en/articles/82.md)
    
-   Have at least one free license for the application. Otherwise, purchase one: see [How do I purchase a license?](https://help.sarbacane.com/en/articles/292.md)
    

> **Note**: you can assign a license to a user whose invitation is still pending. The license will also remain pending until they accept the invitation.

## Steps

### From the Licenses page

1.  In the top-right corner of the screen, click your avatar.
    
2.  In the left-hand menu, click **Product license management**.
    
3.  On the application card, check the counter (for example, “20/26 licenses used”): there must be at least one free license remaining.
    
4.  At the end of the row of avatars, click the add user icon (silhouette with a **+**).
    
5.  On the page that opens (for example, “26 Campaigns licenses”), click an **Unassigned** row.
    
6.  Select the user from the list, then confirm.
    

### From the user's profile

1.  In the top-right corner of the screen, click your avatar.
    
2.  In the left-hand menu, click **Manage users**.
    
3.  On the user's card, click **Manage**.
    
4.  Open the **Licences** tab.
    
5.  Check the box for each application you want to assign to them.
    
6.  Click **Apply my selection**.
    

## Expected result

The user's avatar appears on the application card, and the number of licenses in use increases by one.

## Troubleshooting

### There are no more Unassigned rows

All licenses for the application are in use. You can:

-   buy one: at the top of the same page, click **Buy an additional license**;
    
-   remove one from a user who no longer needs it: see [Can I revoke a license assigned to a user?](https://help.sarbacane.com/en/articles/309.md)
    

### I can't see Product license management

Only the Owner and Administrators have access to it.
