# How to insert a GDPR-compliant unsubscribe link

Good to know: the unsubscribe link is not mandatory for transactional emails that directly contribute to the proper functioning of the expected service (...)

## **Terms of use for a compliant link:**

- The link must appear within the email, regardless of whether it is presented in the header or at the very end.

- The link text must be clear and unambiguous.

- The link color must not obscure the link within the email.

- The font size of the link must be sufficiently large and proportional to the rest of the text.

- Unsubscription must be free and unconditional.

_Good to know: the unsubscribe link is not mandatory for transactional emails that directly contribute to the proper functioning of the expected service (order confirmation, shipping notice, payment method expiration, etc.)._

## **Add the link to your communication:**

1. After typing the text that will serve as the unsubscribe link, select that same text.

2. Click on the chain, which will allow you to identify the text as being a link.

3. In the "Type" dropdown list, select "To an unsubscribe form".

4. In the "Method" dropdown list, choose the location of the page that will allow your recipient to unsubscribe independently.
