# How do I enable and disable the Smart Content feature?

Enable the AI writing and image assistant, or turn it off for all users on the account.

Smart Content is Sarbacane's AI-powered writing and image generation assistant. It is activated the first time you use it, when you accept its terms of use. An Administrator can then disable or re-enable it for all users in the **Settings** of each application, under the **Artificial intelligence** menu.

## Prerequisites

-   Have the Smart Content package (included with the Exclusive subscription).
    
-   To disable or re-enable Smart Content: be the account owner or an administrator.
    

## What Smart Content does

-   **In Sarbacane Campaigns, Sarbacane Sendkit, Sarbacane Forms and Sarbacane Pages**: it writes, rewrites, summarizes, corrects and translates your text, and adapts its tone and length.
    
-   **In Sarbacane Campaigns**: it also suggests email subject lines and preheaders.
    
-   **In Sarbacane Studio**: it generates images based on your instructions.
    

> **Important**: Smart Content uses OpenAI services (ChatGPT, DALL-E). The content you enter, which may contain personal data, is sent to OpenAI in the United States. Make sure you meet your obligations to your contacts (GDPR).

## Steps

### Activate Smart Content (first use)

1.  In the editor (Email Builder, Pages Builder or Forms Builder), add or select a text block.
    
2.  Click the magic wand icon.
    
3.  Read the terms of use, then accept them.
    

To generate an image: on the Sarbacane Studio home page, click **Generate an image**, or open **My images** and choose **Generate an image** from the list.

### Disable or re-enable Smart Content for the entire account

1.  Open the relevant application (for example, Sarbacane Campaigns).
    
2.  In the left-hand sidebar, click the gear icon to open **Settings**.
    
3.  In the settings menu, click **Artificial intelligence**.
    
4.  Turn the **Smart Content** toggle on or off.
    
5.  Repeat this in each application where you want to make the change.
    

### Withdraw your own acceptance of the terms

1.  In the top-right corner of the screen, click your avatar.
    
2.  In the left-hand menu, click **Profile**, then open the **Legal / GDPR** tab.
    
3.  In the **OpenAI Terms and Conditions** section, click **Decline**.
    

## Expected result

Once the **Smart Content** toggle is turned off, Smart Content features are no longer available in this application for any user on the account.
