# How do I delete my Sarbacane account?

Request the permanent deletion of your Sarbacane account and its data, during a trial or with a subscription.

To delete your Sarbacane account, send a written request to our team from the **Help** section of your account. If you have a subscription, cancel it first. The deletion will be completed within the statutory period of 30 days, in accordance with the GDPR. It is permanent: all account data will be erased.

## Prerequisites

-   Be logged in to your Sarbacane account.
    
-   Be the account owner.
    
-   If you have a subscription: cancel it (see [How do I cancel my Sarbacane subscription?](https://help.sarbacane.com/fr/articles/308-comment-resilier-mon-abonnement-sarbacane.md)).
    

## Steps

1.  At the top right of the screen, next to the account name, click **Help**.
    
2.  Click **Send a message**.
    
3.  Write that you would like to delete your account.
    

> **Warning**: once deletion is complete, you can no longer recover your campaigns, contacts, or statistics.

4.  Send the message.
    

> **Best practice**: export the data you need before submitting your request.

## Expected outcome

-   **Subscription**: our team will ask you for the required documents, then delete the account within 30 days.

### I only want to cancel my subscription, not delete my account

### My trial has ended: will my data be deleted?

If you take no action, a trial account expires automatically after 30 days. Its data is automatically deleted 90 days after expiration.
