Sarbacane Campaigns: How to manage image hosting for my email campaign
This help center is dedicated to the new version of our software: Sarbacane Suite. If you are a user of the previous version, Sarbacane Sunrise, you can find here the help center related to this version of the software. The update of your account to switch to Sarbacane Suite will be proposed to you shortly by our teams.
To manage your preferences, go to the "Advanced Configuration" section of the editor, then click on "Image Hosting":
All your images are displayed, along with the name, preview, and size of each one.
Two hosting options are available to you:
- Cloud hosting
- Embedded.
The Sarbacane cloud space allows you to host 5MB of images or videos for your entire message. The advantage of hosting your images in this space is that the size of your images or videos will not be counted towards the weight of your message.
Good to know: ideally, a message should not exceed 194KB. Beyond that, sending will cost you multiple email credits per recipient, and your deliverability will be affected.
If you choose the "embedded" option, the size of your images or videos will automatically be counted towards the weight of your message. The advantage of this option is that it allows your image to be displayed directly without needing to be downloaded, as is the case with Outlook email.
Expert advice:
It is possible to use both types of hosting mentioned above within the same campaign, so you can choose to keep your heavier images on the cloud.
If you are communicating with professional email addresses, it may be beneficial to embed your logo at the beginning of the email within the body of your message.
You increase the chances that your recipients will open your message, as it will be more attractive during email preview. Once the email is opened, your recipients will be able to download the other images present in the body of your message.
