An opt-out list groups the contacts your Sarbacane Campaigns campaigns must no longer send anything to, by email or SMS. Before each sending, contacts in the lists linked to the campaign are set aside. A default opt-out list exists on your account: all your campaigns use it, unless you link others.
Opt-out list: contacts who clicked a campaign's unsubscribe link are added to it automatically.
Suppression list: you add the contacts or domain names to set aside from a sending yourself, for example your competitors, or people already registered for an event when you send a reminder.
Technically it is the same type of list: only the use changes.
An open opt-out list shows three tabs:
unsubscribers: email addresses or phone numbers;
Complaints: contacts who reported one of your emails as spam, set aside from later sendings;
domains: every address of a domain name is set aside.
Note: these lists apply to Sarbacane Campaigns email, SMS and automated campaigns. Sarbacane Sendkit and Sarbacane Engage manage their own lists, outside Sarbacane Contacts.
Best practice: create one opt-out list per type of sending (newsletter, commercial offers, SMS). A contact who unsubscribes from your newsletter can then keep receiving your other messages, as they choose.
