When you book a domain name with Sarbacane, its validity period is one year.
You will receive several emails at the account owner’s email address to inform you of its expiry date.
An action will therefore be required on your part to renew it if you still wish to use it, but you may also book a new one.

First make sure that the domain name you wish to renew is not set as the default one, otherwise the renewal cannot be carried out.

Once this verification has been completed, you renew your domain name as follows:

Five days before the expiration date of your domain name, click on the three action dots (1) to access the “renew” option (2). At that point, either you already have a domain name credit available on your account, or you will be redirected to the domain name credit payment page (€25 excl. VAT/year).
It is important to note that a domain name that has been expired for too long will not necessarily be renewable immediately. Indeed, depending on the chosen extension, you will have more or less time to renew it. For example, for the .fr extension, you will have 28 days to renew your domain name using a new credit. After this period, you will either have to wait 80 days from expiration, or restore your domain name by contacting our team at [email protected] in order to find out the restoration cost.
You can find the list of renewal periods on domain name hosting providers’ websites, for example.
A domain may retain a “pending validation” status once the renewal has been completed (usually for a few minutes). Once the status is valid, remember to set your domain name as the default domain name!
