The NPAI list (No longer lives at the indicated address) groups together invalid or incorrect email addresses that were unable to receive your campaigns. At Sarbacane, this term also corresponds to what is called a hard bounce, that is to say, a permanently invalid email address.
It is important to note that Sarbacane Contacts identifies these addresses only after your first send. If you migrate from another emailing solution, we therefore recommend that you import your NPAI or bounce list before your first send in order to avoid sending campaigns to addresses that are already invalid.
The NPAI list is specific to each account and is automatically enriched after each campaign sent via Sarbacane Campaigns.
To view your NPAI list in Sarbacane Contacts:
Log in to your Sarbacane account.
Open the Contacts application.
In the left side menu, click on Contact lists.
Select the NPAI List tab.
You will then be able to view all addresses identified as invalid.
From this tab, several actions are possible:
View the information related to each address (original campaign, date of addition, import source, etc.)
Add new NPAI addresses via a file, manual entry, or copy-paste
Export the complete list or a selection of addresses in Excel format
View statistics, in particular the distribution of NPAI by domain name.
⚠ It is strongly discouraged to clear the NPAI list, unless explicitly requested by our team, as it helps maintain the quality of your mailings.
To maintain a high-quality contact database:
Regularly monitor your NPAI rates via your statistics.
Contact us to analyse the reasons for delivery failures
Ensure the quality of the database being used
To limit the addition of invalid addresses to your database, you can also:
Use forms with email address verification.
implement registration via a form with a double opt-in (option forms)
use our email address validation service by directly contacting your Sarbacane account manager.
Proper management of your NPAI list directly contributes to improving the deliverability and effectiveness of your email campaigns.
