It consists in using personal data to evaluate certain personal aspects relating to a natural person, in particular to analyse or predict elements concerning work performance, economic situation, health, personal preferences, interests, reliability, behaviour, the location of this natural person.
Profiling makes it possible to take decisions concerning a natural person or to analyse or predict his or her preferences, behaviours or state of mind. In this case, Article 22 of the GDPR provides for the right of the data subject to obtain human intervention on the part of the controller, to express his or her point of view and to contest the decision.
