To configure a sending domain for your marketing emails in Sarbacane Campaigns, two methods are available to you.
Option 1: You already have your own domain – You wish to use a sending subdomain linked to your domain name.
Option 2: You do not have a domain name and wish to purchase one in order to use it for sending your email campaigns.
If you already have a domain name and wish to use a sending subdomain with Sarbacane, you must be able to manage the settings yourself in the DNS zone of your hosting provider. Your webmaster or your company’s IT department can take care of this. The precise instructions for adding these records will be provided by the Sarbacane teams. For example, you will find how to perform these publications on your OVH domain manager.
Once this has been done, you delegate the management of your subdomain to Sarbacane, which will configure the DNS for you.
If you do not have an existing domain name, you can purchase a new domain name with Sarbacane along with the configuration for sending your emails. You must ensure that you have sufficient credit available to register a domain name. Once you have reserved your sending domain, Sarbacane will handle the validation and the implementation of the necessary DNS records on your behalf in order to guarantee a correct and secure configuration.
