Welcome to the section dedicated to managing your prospecting blacklist in the Sarbacane Engage application. This feature enables you to control the email addresses and domain names that you do not wish to contact or include in your prospecting campaigns. In this section, we will explain how to access your blacklist, add contacts or domain names, and the reasons why you may wish to exclude them from your prospecting email sends.
To begin, you will need to access your prospecting blacklist. Go to the settings of the Sarbacane Engage application by clicking on the cogwheel icon in the left-hand side menu of the application, then on “Blacklist” in the “Settings” section.
Once you are in the Engage settings, click on Add to blacklist.
A window will open and you will be able to select the reason why you wish to add the contact(s) to the blacklist:
Client
Prospect
Competitor
Other
You can then enter the email addresses and/or domain names manually (be sure to separate them with commas or line breaks) or copy/paste them (the values will then be separated automatically).
To finish, click on Confirm.
Two other options are also available to you to populate your prospecting blacklist
Add a contact to the blacklist from their contact record
Add a contact to the blacklist from your inbox
Some contacts may be added automatically to your blacklist in the following situations:
When the contact clicks on the unsubscribe link, if this option is enabled in your sequences settings
When you receive a bounce email after sending, indicating that the recipient's email address does not exist, for example. In this case, the contact receives the Undelivered status in the sequence.
When the contact sends a very negative response, detected by our Artificial Intelligence, and receives the Do not contact status.
