Effective management of your contacts is essential to keep your database up to date and compliant with current regulations. With this in mind, Sarbacane Engage offers you the possibility of enabling automatic deletion of contacts. Discover how to perform this configuration with ease.
Warning: automatic deletion of contacts concerns only the contacts in the Sarbacane Engage application and not the contacts retrieved and stored via other applications of the Sarbacane Suite (Contacts, Campaigns, Sendkit or Chat)
To access the automatic contact deletion settings, follow these steps:
Navigate to the Settings section via the left sidebar
Select the GDPR tab, then go to the Archiving tab.
From this tab, you can enable automatic deletion of contacts. To do so, enable the setting by switching the cursor to blue on Enable automatic deletion of contacts.
Then choose the types of contacts concerned by this deletion by checking the appropriate statuses.
Define the period after which the contacts will be deleted. Note that the countdown begins from the date the contacts are collected.
Once the settings have been configured according to your needs, click the Save button located at the bottom right of the page.
Automatic deletion of contacts is a proactive approach to keeping your database clean and compliant. By enabling this feature, contacts that have reached the defined retention period will be deleted every day at midnight. This practice contributes not only to better management of your data, but also to optimal compliance with data protection rules.
