In Sarbacane Engage, flexibility is at the heart of managing your contacts. If you work in a team, it is essential to be able to assign ownership of certain contacts to other members. This guide explains how to change the owner of a contact and walks you through the steps to carry out this modification with ease.
To begin, go to the Contacts page using the sidebar on the left.
Select the contact or contacts you wish to assign to another user by checking the corresponding boxes.
Next, click on the three small dots located at the top right of the page, then select Change owner.
A window will appear. Click on Select a user on the right to choose the new owner from the users in your instance. Finally, click Confirm.
To modify the owner of an individual contact, go to its record by following the instructions in the article Accessing my contacts’ records.
From the Contact tab on the right, click on the name of the current owner.
In the drop-down menu, select the new owner of the contact. Then click Save.
Go to the Inbox using the sidebar on the left.
Select the reply from a contact whose ownership you wish to assign to another user.
In the Contact tab on the right, click on the name of the current owner.
In the drop-down menu, choose the new owner from among the users. This step finalises the change.
By default, the owner of a contact is the user who created it or the last one who contacted it via a sequence.
The options for changing the owner vary depending on your role in Sarbacane Engage (User or Manager).
