Before getting started: the management of Sarbacane users and their roles and rights is carried out via your Sarbacane account settings. However, Sarbacane Engage also has specific role management.
In Sarbacane Engage, each member of your team has a specific role, either User or Manager. These roles assign different levels of rights and access to the platform, ensuring efficient and secure management.
To know your role or that of your colleagues, go to the Settings of your Sarbacane Engage account. In the Users tab, look for the frame containing the account’s first name/last name. A purple indicator specifies the role associated with each account.
Manager: The Manager role grants full authority over all elements of the account. Managers have access to all features of the platform and can act on contacts, sequences, and other aspects of the account.
User: The User role is more restricted. Users can act only on what they own or have created. They have control over the contacts and sequences of which they are the owners. Certain features are not accessible, such as blacklist management or the creation of variables.
The Manager and User roles influence several features:
Deletion of contacts: Only Managers can delete all contacts. Users can only delete the contacts they own.
Activation/deactivation of users: Managers can activate or deactivate any user, whereas Users can only do so for the contacts they own.
Creation of custom variables: Only Managers have the authority to create custom variables.
Blacklist management: Only Managers can manage the blacklist.
Creation and management of lists: Managers have the privilege of renaming and deleting all lists, unlike Users, who can act only on their own lists.
Scheduling sequences: Users must own both the contacts and the sequences in order to schedule a sequence.
Datananas Connect: Users cannot create or engage contacts in lists or sequences they do not own.
Data export: Only Managers can export data.
If you wish to change your role, contact Sarbacane Engage support. Users wishing to become Managers require confirmation from the current Manager of the account. In addition, the Sarbacane Engage team can add the Shared Inbox role, allowing you to view users’ replies in your inbox.
Role management in Sarbacane Engage provides a structured way to define rights and responsibilities within your team.
