To send an email campaign with Sarbacane Campaigns, you need a licence, email credits, an authenticated sending domain and contacts who have agreed to receive your emails. Always test your campaign before sending it.
Item | Why | Learn more |
|---|---|---|
A Sarbacane Campaigns (or Sarbacane Suite) licence assigned to your user | Without a licence, you cannot access the application. | |
Email credits | 1 credit per recipient for each 194 KB of message. | Checking your credit balance; Why does my email campaign use more than one credit per recipient? |
An authenticated sending domain (dedicated domain name or subdomain of your domain) | Mailbox providers check that you are the real sender: without an authenticated domain, your emails may end up in spam. | How do I buy a domain name in Sarbacane Campaigns?; How do I set up a sending subdomain in Sarbacane Campaigns? |
Opt-in contacts, in an up-to-date list | A list without bounces or inactive contacts protects your sender reputation. | |
An unsubscribe link in every campaign | Mandatory for marketing emails (GDPR). | |
A test before sending | Display varies from one mailbox to another (especially Outlook), and the test checks links and personalisation. |
Important: with a new domain or a new sender address, increase your volumes gradually (warm-up phase) to build your reputation. See How do I warm up a new sending domain in Sarbacane Campaigns?
Important: do not send to purchased lists. These contacts have not given their consent, rarely engage and greatly increase the risk of spam.
Note: your first campaign, or an unusual campaign, may go through moderation before sending. See Why is my email campaign rejected or awaiting moderation?
