To leverage the benefits of variables in your email prospecting sequences, follow these simple steps:
Access the page dedicated to Sequences.
Select the sequence you wish to customize from those displayed.
In this sequence, go to the Editing tab to begin the customization.
Let us take a practical example: let us imagine that you wish to insert the variable first_name (first name) after the term Bonjour in the body of your email. Follow these steps:
Click in the field at the location after the word Bonjour, insert a space, then click on the # symbol that appears under the subject line.
A window opens and displays two tabs:
“Contact” for native variables
“Contact (custom)” for the variables you have created.
On the right, you will find the list of corresponding variables.
To insert the variable first_name, remain in the Contact tab (on the left) and look for the variable in the list on the right. Simply click on it to add it to your email.
Do not forget to add a comma after the variable in the editor. The variable will take the value of your contacts’ first name once they are integrated into this sequence.
It is important to note that for a contact to be added to a sequence, the latter must not use variables for which the contact does not have a value.
By following these guidelines, you can easily customize your sequences with variables, thereby adding a touch of individualization to your prospecting emails created with Sarbacane Engage.
