In Sarbacane, you can view and modify tracking pixel consent for your recipients directly from your contact lists and their individual profiles. This information helps you comply with CNIL requirements by recording the contact's choice and the date of their last update.
Have access to the directory and contact lists.
Note: CNIL regulations require you to obtain consent from recipients before placing a tracking pixel in emails.
In your contact lists, two dedicated columns allow you to view this consent:
Tracking consent: indicates whether the contact has accepted or refused the tracking pixel placement.
Consent date: indicates the date when this choice was recorded or last modified.
You can show or hide these columns as needed from the column management menu in your list.
Note : if no value has yet been entered for a contact (for example, for a contact imported before this feature was implemented), these columns may appear empty.
Go to "contacts" then
Open your contact list, click on the contact in question to open their file.
In the side panel, click on Edit.
In the Tracking consent section, enable or disable the toggle button to update the contact's choice.
Click on Edit
Important: the consent date is automatically updated with today's date each time you make a modification. It corresponds to the last update made and cannot be entered manually.
The contact card and the columns Tracking consent and Consent date in the list immediately display the new status as well as today's date.
Note: tracking pixel consent can also be entered or updated through other channels (list import, API, or preference management forms). Regardless of its origin, the information is displayed in the same columns and on the contact card.
