When you add contacts to a campaign, Sarbacane Campaigns analyzes them and excludes those who should not receive the mailing: duplicates, invalid addresses, non-deliverable addresses, and unsubscribed contacts. They remain in your list, are only excluded from this campaign, and do not consume any credits. To find out why, hover over the icon next to the contact in the Excluded tab.
A Sarbacane Campaigns license.
An email or SMS campaign to which you have added contacts.
Open your campaign at the Recipients step.
Above the list, click the Excluded tab. The number in parentheses indicates how many contacts have been excluded.
In the Reason column, hover over the contact's icon. After a few seconds, the reason will appear.
To add a contact back to the mailing, hover over their row: on the right, in the Actions column, click •••, then click Re-include.
You know why each contact was excluded. People who unsubscribed from your previous campaigns are in the Unsubscribed tab.
The missing contacts are in the Excluded and Unsubscribed tabs in the Recipients step. Hover over the reason icon to find out why (step 3), then add the contact back if the exclusion is not justified (step 4).
The same address appears multiple times: Sarbacane Campaigns sends only one message because the Deduplicate recipients option is enabled in its settings (this is the default). No action is needed.
By default, the Deduplicate recipients option is enabled on your account: when an address appears multiple times, Sarbacane Campaigns keeps only one entry, updated with the information from the last row. To have each row receive its own email:
In Sarbacane Campaigns, open Settings > Campaigns, Email tab.
Disable Deduplicate recipients.
Then add your contacts to the campaign. Each row receives its email, along with its own personalization fields (company, prices, etc.).
Note: this setting applies to the entire account. Disable it before adding contacts: duplicates that have already been excluded are not added back.
The address is entered incorrectly, its domain does not exist, or it comes from a temporary email address service. Correct the address in your list, then run the contact analysis again.
The address or number no longer exists: a previous send received a permanent error.
The person unsubscribed or reported one of your messages as spam. They will no longer receive your campaigns.
The contact has already received the maximum number of emails set for your account. This limit can be configured under Settings > Campaigns, Email tab, Control marketing pressure by limiting the number of sends to a recipient's email address section (for example, “Do not send more than 1 email per week to the same address”).
Note: automated campaigns do not take this limit into account.
Sarbacane does not send SMS messages to the country associated with this number. Check that the calling code is correct.
