How to automate the update of your contacts from Google Sheets?

information Information

This help center is dedicated to the new version of our software: Sarbacane Suite. If you are a user of the previous version, Sarbacane Sunrise, you can find here the help center related to this version of the software. The update of your account to switch to Sarbacane Suite will be proposed to you shortly by our teams.

Google Sheets allows you to collaboratively edit sets of spreadsheets or databases. These are often shared and modified by multiple collaborators within the same working group, which raises several questions:

  • How to ensure that the various modifications are well reflected in real-time in an external environment like Sarbacane Suite?
  • How to ensure that these modifications trigger the desired actions?

Connecting Sarbacane Suite to Google Sheets

  1. Go to the Zapier page dedicated to the Sarbacane and Google Sheets connector.
  2. After logging in via your Google account and accepting the terms and conditions, choose the desired event: this is the one that will trigger the action globally.
  3. After logging in via your Google account and accepting the terms and conditions, choose the desired event: this is the one that will trigger the action globally.
  4. In the next steps, still on Zapier, specify the desired data (row, column, value, etc.).
  5. After the initial automatic test, you will be prompted to repeat these steps for configuring the desired automatic actions on Sarbacane.
  6. A final test confirms the link between your Google Sheets actions and Sarbacane Contacts.

Good to know: It is possible to automate the update of data from Google Sheets to Sarbacane, but not the other way around.

That being said, a manual export of your lists remains possible at any time from Sarbacane Suite.
