To cut off a user's access to your Sarbacane account, the Owner or an Administrator opens the ⋯ menu on their card in Manage users. It offers four actions, and only deletion is permanent:
Reset password: the user is logged out and must create a new password to come back.
Log out of the account: their session closes, but they can log in again right away.
Ban from the account: they can no longer log in until you reauthorize them. Their resources are kept.
Remove from the account: their access is removed permanently. Their resources stay on the account.
Be the owner or an administrator of the account.
At the top right of the screen, click your avatar.
In the left menu, click Manage users, then open the Users tab.
At the top right of the user's card, click ⋯.
Choose Reset password, Log out of the account or Ban from the account, then confirm in the window that opens.
Important: do not ban the Owner. Banning them blocks the administration API key: contact imports stop working, campaigns may no longer go out and a large part of the account becomes unusable.
Caution: deleting a user is permanent. To give them access again, you will have to invite them again. If in doubt, ban them instead: it can be undone.
To remove their access permanently, choose Remove from the account, then confirm in the window that opens.
At the top left of each relevant card, check the box.
At the top of the list, click Reset passwords, Log out users or Ban users.
Confirm in the window that opens.
At the bottom of the Users tab, expand the banned users section (for example 1 banned user).
At the top right of the user's card, click ⋯, then reinstate them as a user.
After a password reset or a logout: the user is sent back to the login page.
After a ban: their card leaves the main list and appears at the bottom of the tab, in the banned users section.
After a deletion: their card disappears. Their campaigns, lists and forms stay on the account.
You can also take these actions from the session history, on the row of a suspicious login.
This is normal. At the bottom of the Users tab, expand the banned users section: you will find them there and can reauthorize them.
Check that the Owner has not been banned: at the bottom of the Users tab, expand the banned users section. If their card is there, click ⋯ at the top right of their card, then reinstate them as a user.
The Owner cannot be deleted. To hand the account over to someone else, change the owner: see How do you change the owner of your Sarbacane account?
Their profile cannot be restored. Invite them again: see How to add a user to your Sarbacane account?. Their resources are still on the account.
