The statuses of your contacts automatically evolve based on their behavior and progress within your sequences. This feature in Sarbacane Engage allows you to easily track the progress of your contacts and take appropriate actions accordingly.

Evolution of Statuses in Sequences

Contacts in Sarbacane Engage are assigned a status that automatically changes as they progress and interact with your sequences.

Locations to Check Statuses

You can check the statuses of your contacts in several places within the application:

  • In the "Sequences" column from your Contacts page.
  • On the individual file of each contact.
  • In the responses received from your contacts.
  • The meaning of the different statuses is displayed when you hover over a contact's status, which is symbolized by a color label.

Various Contact Statuses

Here are the different statuses your contacts can have and their meanings:

  • Added: Your contact has been added to the sequence but has not yet received the first email.
  • Active: Your contact has received at least the first email of the sequence, and further steps are scheduled.
  • Replied: Your contact has manually replied to an email in the sequence. They will not receive the next automatic steps and will exit the sequence.
  • Stopped: Your contact has received the last email of the sequence. After a defined number of days, the contact will take the status "Did Not Reply" or "Replied" depending on their action during this period.
  • Did Not Reply: Your contact has received all the steps of the sequence but did not reply before the end of the defined period.
  • Unsubscribed: Your contact clicked on the unsubscribe link in an email of the sequence.
  • Blacklisted: Your contact is placed on the blacklist, either by exiting the sequence with the blacklisting option checked or by being added manually from the account settings.
  • Not Delivered: The email could not be sent to the contact, and they are automatically added to the blacklist.
  • Error: An error occurred when sending emails.
  • Paused: Your contact is paused in the sequence.
  • Disengaged: Your contact is manually removed from the sequence or the sequence they were active in was deleted.

Specific Cases

Several specific cases need to be considered depending on actions taken on contacts, such as blacklisting or deleting a sequence.

Filtering Contacts Based on Their Status

To filter your contacts based on their status:

  • Go to your Contacts page.
  • Click on "Create a filter".
  • Select "Status in the sequence" as the criterion, choose the desired status, then save the filter.

With this function, you will be able to easily identify contacts with specific statuses in their respective sequences.

The statuses of contacts in Sarbacane Engage automatically evolve based on their interactions and progress within the sequences. This allows you to closely follow their actions and better manage your campaigns accordingly.
