To leverage the benefits of variables in your email prospecting sequences, follow these simple steps:
- Navigate to the Sequences page.
- Select the sequence you wish to personalize from those displayed.
- In this sequence, navigate to the Editing tab to begin customization.
Let's take a practical example: imagine you want to insert the variable "first_name" after the term "Hello" in the body of your email. Follow these steps:
- Click on the space after the word "Hello", insert a space, then click on the # symbol that appears below the subject line.
- A window opens and displays two tabs:
- “Contact” for native variables
- “Contact (custom)” for the variables you have created.
On the right, you will find the list of corresponding variables.
- To insert the "first_name" variable, stay in the Contact tab (on the left) and look for the variable in the list on the right. Simply click on it to add it to your email.
- Do not forget to add a comma after the variable in the editor. The variable will take on the value of the first names of your contacts once they are integrated into this sequence.
It is important to note that for a contact to be added to a sequence, the sequence must not use variables for which the contact does not have a value.
By following these instructions, you can easily customize your sequences with variables, adding a touch of individualization to your prospecting emails created with Sarbacane Engage.
