I believe my account has been compromised. What is the process to follow?
This help center is dedicated to the new version of our software: Sarbacane Suite. If you are a user of the previous version, Sarbacane Sunrise, you can find here the help center related to this version of the software. The update of your account to switch to Sarbacane Suite will be proposed to you shortly by our teams.
The use of digital technology is now deeply ingrained in our daily lives. Billions of transactional and promotional emails and SMS messages are sent every year. With this growth, cyberattack attempts have multiplied. Your Sarbacane account contains a wealth of information and data, so it is crucial that you know how to determine if your account has been compromised and what steps to take in case of suspicion or confirmed fraudulent use of your account.
How to tell if your account has been compromised?
Your credentials no longer work
If you try to log in to your Sarbacane account with your usual credentials and see an error message indicating that you've used an incorrect email address or password, first check that you've entered your credentials correctly. If you have and the error message persists, contact our teams immediately.
Unauthorized emails have been sent from your account
If hackers have taken control of your account, they may use it to send spam without changing the password. If you notice suspicious emails being sent from your account, alert our teams immediately.
You receive many complaints from your contacts
A high, unusual, and sudden number of complaints from your recipients may indicate that an external person is using your account.
You receive unusual notification emails
If you receive unexpected automated emails or another notification email from Sarbacane indicating that an attempt to log in was made from an unknown device, it means someone is trying to access your account (we do not send this type of email).
