Sarbacane Engage: How to delete a contact?

Sarbacane Engage simplifies the contact deletion process, enabling you to efficiently manage your lists and keep your data up to date. You can delete contacts using various methods, whether from the general view of contacts, the contact record, or even from received responses.

Deletion from the General View

• To start, go to your "Contacts" page using the sidebar on the left.
• Select the contact(s) you wish to delete by ticking the corresponding small boxes.
• Then, click on the three small dots located at the top right of the page and select "Delete".
• A confirmation window will appear. Check the box "Confirm contact deletion" and enter your initials corresponding to the first letters of your first and last name as set in your profile settings. Finally, click on "Validate".

Deletion from the Contact Record

• To delete an individual contact, access their record by following the steps described in the article "How to access my contacts' record".
• On the right side of the contact record, click on the trash can icon. Then confirm the deletion by clicking on "Confirm".

Deletion from Contact Responses

• Go to your "Inbox" using the sidebar on the left.
• Select the response from the contact you wish to delete.
• Click on the trash can icon to delete the contact linked to this response. Then confirm the deletion.

Important Points to Note:

• Deleting all contacts from a list will also result in the deletion of the list itself.
• Deletion rights vary based on your role (User or Manager) within the application. Managers generally have more flexibility in deleting contacts.
• Deletion is irreversible. Once a contact is deleted, it cannot be recovered. If the contact was engaged in a sequence, they will be removed from it and will not receive subsequent steps.
