What is campaign moderation at Sarbacane?

How Sarbacane checks your campaigns before sending, through automated screening supplemented by occasional manual review

Campaign moderation is the review that Sarbacane applies to your campaign content before it is sent, to ensure that it complies with our terms of use. This review relies largely on an algorithm, supplemented by a manual check when necessary. It is not a legal requirement, but a security measure for the platform and its user community.

How does moderation work?

When you send a campaign via the Sarbacane applications, its content is checked against our usage policies. Most checks are performed automatically by an algorithm. In some cases, a manual check supplements this automated review, for example when the algorithm detects a concern that requires human review.

If the content does not comply, whether the decision comes from the automated check or the manual review, Sarbacane may refuse to send the campaign. You will then be informed of the refusal and the reason for it, so that you can adjust your content and resend your campaign in compliance with our guidelines.

Note. Automated checks process most campaigns almost instantly. The occasional manual review may take a little longer before sending.

What happens to credits for a refused send?

A refusal may mean that you need to resend your campaign. Depending on the situation, Sarbacane may, at its discretion, reallocate the credits or consumables already used for the refused send.

Note. This reassignment is neither automatic nor guaranteed: it depends on the circumstances of each rejection.

Who remains responsible for the content sent?

Moderation, whether automated or manual, does not relieve you of any responsibility. You remain solely responsible for ensuring that your content complies with Sarbacane's terms of use and the laws applicable to your mailings.
