Sarbacane Campaigns: How to host an attachment online?
This help center is dedicated to the new version of our software: Sarbacane Suite. If you are a user of the previous version, Sarbacane Sunrise, you can find here the help center related to this version of the software. The update of your account to switch to Sarbacane Suite will be proposed to you shortly by our teams.
Do you have a document to send to your contacts and wish to take advantage of an email campaign to send it as an attachment?
While adding an attachment is technically possible in Sarbacane, we remind you that it is not recommended to send an email campaign with an attachment, especially if it is large.
The solution? Host your attachments online and insert a link to your online document in your email campaign. This solution is very practical for quickly sharing files without impacting the weight, and therefore the deliverability, of your campaign.
Online Hosting Solutions
Here is a non-exhaustive list of some sites that allow you to host your files online for free (photo, video, compressed folder, PDF, Word, Excel, etc.):
- Dropbox: free offer with 2 GB of storage space
- Google Drive: free offer with 15 GB of storage space
- Onedrive: free offer with 5 GB of storage space
- PCloud: free offer with 10 GB of storage space
For each of these providers, the process to follow is the same:
- Create a free account
- Upload your files to your online account
- Retrieve the link of the document(s) you wish to send to your recipients
- Integrate this link into your campaign on a word, a phrase, an image, or a call-to-action button
Unlike adding attachments to emails, hosting files online allows you to share large files within the limit of the storage space you have on the cloud. Much higher than the maximum weight of a classic attachment, this file size limit depends on the provider you choose.
