Sarbacane Engage: What are the available roles?
This help center is dedicated to the new version of our software: Sarbacane Suite. If you are a user of the previous version, Sarbacane Sunrise, you can find here the help center related to this version of the software. The update of your account to switch to Sarbacane Suite will be proposed to you shortly by our teams.
Before you start: the management of Sarbacane users and their roles and rights is done via the settings of your Sarbacane account. However, Sarbacane Engage additionally has specific role management.
In Sarbacane Engage, each team member has a specific role, either User or Manager. These roles assign different levels of rights and access to the platform, ensuring efficient and secure management.
Identifying Your Role
To know your role or that of your colleagues, head to the Settings of your Sarbacane Engage account. In the Users tab, look for the frame containing the account's name/surname. A purple indicator specifies the role associated with each account.
Differences Between Roles
- Manager: The Manager role grants complete authority over all account elements. Managers have access to all platform functionalities and can act on contacts, sequences, and other aspects of the account.
- User: The User role is more restricted. Users can act only on what they own or have created. They have control over the contacts and sequences they own. Some functionalities are not accessible, such as managing the blacklist or creating variables.
Impact on Features
The Manager and User roles influence several features:
- Deleting contacts: Only Managers can delete all contacts. Users can delete only the contacts they own.
- Activating/deactivating users: Managers can activate or deactivate any user, while Users can do so only for contacts they own.
- Creating custom variables: Only Managers have the power to create custom variables.
- Managing the blacklist: Only Managers can manage the blacklist.
- Creating and managing lists: Managers have the privilege to rename and delete all lists, unlike Users who can act only on their own lists.
- Scheduling sequences: Users must own both the contacts and the sequences to schedule a sequence.
- Datananas Connect: Users cannot create, engage contacts in lists, or sequences they do not own.
- Exporting data: Only Managers can export data.
Changing Roles
If you wish to change roles, contact Sarbacane Engage support. Users wanting to become Managers require confirmation from the current account Manager. Additionally, the Sarbacane Engage team can add the "Shared Inbox" role, allowing to view user responses in your inbox.
The role management in Sarbacane Engage offers a structured way to define rights and responsibilities within your team.
