What is a sending credit?

This help center is dedicated to the new version of our software, Sarbacane Suite. Users of the previous version, Sarbacane Sunrise, can find here the help center associated with that version of the software.
Certain applications in the Suite (Sarbacane Campaigns and Sarbacane Sendkit) require consumables and operate with a credit system for sending emails and/or SMS.
Email Credits:
For emails sent through Campaigns, one email credit generally corresponds to one email to one recipient. The number of email credits consumed may vary if your message's file size is too large. If your message exceeds the threshold of 194 KB, an additional credit will be deducted per recipient, and so on in increments of 194 KB. You have a storage space of 5 MB for each campaign. Your images will be automatically hosted there to optimize the message's file size and prevent you from exceeding this limit.
SMS Credits:
For SMS messages sent through Campaigns, one credit corresponds to a message of fewer than 160 characters to a recipient in France. For international destinations, the number of credits per recipient may vary (refer to the international credit grid). The message's length can also affect the number of credits deducted for your campaign. Beyond 160 characters, your campaign will cost 2 credits. Beyond 300 characters, your campaign will cost 3 credits. Note that certain special characters, links, dynamic fields, or legal notices can increase the character count of your message and increase the cost of your campaign.
