This help center is dedicated to the older version of our software: Sarbacane Sunrise. If you are a user of the next version, Sarbacane Suite, you can find here the help center related to this version of the software.
To use your own custom domain in Sarbacane Sunrise, here are the steps to follow.
The example below is based on a domain registered with OVH. Go to the domain management interface, then click on “DNS Zone”.
NS delegation
Adding a TXT record
Click add entry
In the next window click on TXT
Leave the field under domain empty
TTL: default
In value, paste the txt record (key) previously provided in step 2 of sarbacane.
Select the subdomain or domain in question.
Adding an NS type record:
Add a new record.
Enter your subdomain for example: newsletter
TTL: default
Target: dns.customizedurl.com.
Don't forget the "." » after customizedurl.com
Repeat the same operation for the 2nd record by adding dns2.customizedurl.com.
Don't forget the "." » after customizedurl.com
1. Declare the DKIM type record on your domain
Click on the “Add entry” button then choose the “DKIM” type in the MAIL section and complete the form as below:
Subdomain:mta0._domainkey
Leave the TTL as default.
Check “RSA” as the key type.
Then complete the “public key” area with this: MIGfMA0GCSqGSIb3DQEBAQUAA4GNADCBiQKBgQDm8LOXQhq/UV16zgXP/qVqwtwNdiRLGVXWdQeLsOLSC6vAnib0wWFjXq2391OwtOmLjVut1l1U8WrQZQGNXiB3wANyN86tQOs9ER2WaMXBxpqqNRU/vd498PwjWXi47Zn+uWXf2tbH2Qd41OxROvplBgrHTm5dHfG60eflSpTIdQIDAQAB
2. Declare the SPF record on your domain
Click on the “Add an entry” button then choose the “SPF” type which is located in the “Mail field management” section and answer the questions in the form.
Leave the “subdomain” box empty.
Change the TTL value to “Custom” and enter 600s for the timeout and in the “Include” box enter our spf recording:spf4.sbr-master.net
3. Create the img subdomain and link to img.customizedurl.com
Click on the “Add entry” button then choose the “CNAME” type.
In the subdomain field, enter: img
In the target field, indicate:img.customizedurl.com.
4. Create the link subdomain and link to link.customizedurl.com
Click on the “Add entry” button then choose the “CNAME” type.
In the subdomain field, enter: link
In the target field, enter:link.customizedurl.com.
