The Bounce list, is a list of contacts for whom email sending has failed. These failures can be due to various reasons, such as an incorrect email address, a full inbox, a downed mail server, or an anti-spam filter that has blocked the email. In all cases, these errors can harm the deliverability of your email campaigns and the quality of your contact lists.

To effectively manage your Bounce list, it's important to regularly monitor distribution errors in your email campaigns and address them promptly. It is recommended to remove contacts who have generated a distribution error after a few unsuccessful sending attempts, as this helps improve the quality of your list. This part is managed automatically in Sarbacane, once your first send is completed. Thus, the Bounce list is automatically populated. If you are using Sarbacane for the first time, we invite you to export the Bounce list from your previous email solution (note that this list may also be called “Bounce List”) and import it into Sarbacane before your first send. Indeed, Sarbacane will only be able to detect Bounces or bounces in your list after the first send.

Keep in mind that invalid email addresses can lead to high bounce rates and negatively affect the deliverability of your campaigns.

It's also important to implement preventive measures to avoid adding invalid email addresses to your contact list in the first place. This can be done by using signup forms with email address verification or by using a third-party email address validation service.

Finally, it's advisable to keep track of the reasons why emails have failed for each contact. This information can help you identify trends and recurring issues, and take steps to improve the quality of your contact lists. In summary, effective management of your Bounce list is essential for ensuring the deliverability of your email campaigns and the quality of your contact lists.
